Belarus: Villager makes DIY replica of Soviet T-60 tank

Belarusian native Igor Tutov showcased his non-tactical light T-60 tank, a WWII replica that he personally assembled, in his home village of Machulishi on Wednesday.

SOT, Igor Tutov, creator (Russian): "How did the idea come to me? We all remain boys, as they say. The first 40 years of a boy's life are the most difficult. If you lacked something in childhood, you will want to create it, make and feel it with your hands. Perhaps, I lacked something of this kind. Plus, I have a 14-year-old son. It is also interesting for him, he helped me to create it."

SOT, Igor Tutov, creator (Russian): "The difficulty was that this is a machine of the war period; it was hastily created in 1941 when most of the equipment was destroyed in the border fighting. Therefore, it has almost no drawings, no specifications, nothing. All of this was made according to photographs with scaling."
